Summer Meeting of the Central European Chapter of the International Association ICCA was successfully held in Moscow from 18 to 20 August 2016. The event was attracted by the joint efforts of the partners and was organised in the Russian capital for the first time.
Russian and foreign professionals actively discussed and shared their experience in the framework of the keytopic of the meeting "From the New Normal to the New Future":
Anna Górska, ICCA CEC Chairperson, noted that during the Conference the participants reviewed some very interesting European case studies of how events can affect the image of the city, learned how futurology and sociology can be applied to business meetings, received valuable knowledge about the peculiarities of doing business in Russia.
According to Darya Ostrovskaya, managing director of the Media company within RESTEC Group, the choice of Moscow as the destination for ICCA CEC annual event is of great importance for the Russian meetings industry and market players. This is an opportunity to show the country, city, venues, to introduce the participants of the events industry to the international community, it is an important tool to promote national and regional benefits and features on the European stage. And the feedback and gratitude from the representatives of the ICCA CEC told us that the host city and the Organising committee has coped with this task.
A traditional meeting of the ICCA Central European Chapter is an important communication platform for professionals of the meetings industry from countries in Western and Eastern Europe.
This project is supported by representatives of the Russian events industry, which initiated the bid to host this ICCA event in Russia: RESTEC EVENTS (part of RESTEC Group), Convention Bureau of Moscow, tourist company Intourist, World Trade Center Moscow, VDNKh.
The next Summer meeting of the ICCA Central European Chapter will take place in Lviv (Ukraine) in August 2017.
