Representatives of World Trade Centers discussed the development of trade and economic relations at EFEA
WTC Session “Development of international trade and economic relations and the role of World Trade Centers” featured a lively discussion between representatives of World Trade Centers of various regions of Russia. Experts discussed Russia’s potential for development of international cooperation under current conditions by the example of various countries. 
 
In this regard, the President of World Trade Center St. Petersburg, the President of RESTEC® Group Serguei Trofimov, called the Asia-Pacific region the most promising region in the context of development of international commercial relations. "Today cooperation with the BRICS countries remains a top priority for Russia,” emphasized Mr. Trofimov. “World Trade Centers represent an efficient tool for development of international economic relations. It is a World Trade Centre that attracts investments to the country. It is a World Trade Centre that draws new and important trade missions to the country."
 
According to experts, today World Trade Centers significantly contribute to enhancement of trade and economic relations. For instance, St. Petersburg Partneriat - SMEs Interregional and International Cooperation has been directly serving to address this issue within more than 10 years. Thanks to the efforts of World Trade Centers of various Russian regions, in 2014 this landmark event hosted representatives of 59 Russian regions.
 
Participants of the discussion tackled the impact of the anti-Russian sanctions on development of trade and economic relations and consequences of Russia's accession to the World Trade Organisation. In addition, three years ago the Russia in the WTO Centre was founded on the basis of the World Trade Center Moscow. Its founder Roman Gubenko, the current Director of the International Business Center, World Trade Center Moscow, participates in the Europe+Asia Event Forum already for the third time. In his speech, he encourages the participants to be optimistic about the development of international trade. 
 
"So far as Russia demonstrates its export potential, in particular at various international congresses and exhibitions,” he noted, “we will witness the growth and strengthening of trade and economic relations.
